Runner (2026) Movie Review:🍿
Runner is aanaction comedy film directed by Scott Waugh and written by Miles Hubley and Tommy White. Starring Alan Ritchson and Owen Wilson, the film follows a former soldier and a medical courier who must deliver a rare organ to a terminally ill girl while being pursued by the cartel.
In this a movie we have seen done many many times before and even though it’s forgettable while it lasts if you do like this sort of stuff it’s watchable and it’s Ritchson perfectly cast as the man is a beast probably can’t die and could beat anyone up.
First up I will say this did not get me right away it felt all over the place trying to set everything up but it soon eases into its main story that’s nothing new but lively super simple easy to follow but best to put your brain on pause filled with car chases, fisticuffs and lots of loud shooting sequences, building to a absolutely insane crazy high energy laws of physics defying climax that made the movie worth while and ending on a super sweet note and a great song.
We also have a likeable duo who bounce well off each other, some kick ass moments that make this entertaining even if not all jokes land, the location looked great on camera, this is not a deep story very basic kind of like a action comedy take on the Resident Evil film we just had hitting the big screen and this for me would be a film perfectly suited streaming it doesn’t need a cinema.
Overall despite not booking me right away it quickly gets to its main story that’s basic super easy to follow and filled with some entertaining moments but the ending is awesome even if it’s totally bonkers.
6/10
