Here's a recap of all the questions...

ROUND 1 - AS SEEN AT SCREAMS

1 - In Starry Eyes, what is the name of the horror production company that offers actress Sarah Walker a shot at fame?

2 - What was the very first Celluloid Screams Secret Film?

3 - What is the name of the town in Critters?

4 - In Sightseers, what is the first tourist attraction visited by Chris and Tina?

5 - In What We Do In The Shadows, Vladislav is seen doing his dark bidding on the internet. What is he bidding on?

6 - Tom Savini appears in From Dusk Till Dawn as which character?

7 - According to Manborg, it’s never too late to be… what?

8 - In our programme from 2019, which film did we describe as “a blood-soaked, strobe-lit barrage of gore”?

9 - Which actor and musician plays the lead role in ‘He Never Died’?

10 - What was the opening film at the first ever Celluloid Screams Festival in 2009?

ROUND 2: WHO AM I?

11 - I am an expert in molecular physics. I would really love to be able to travel without getting sick. I have an idea and I think it has wings. Some would call me intense, and I’m a little too fond of sugary foods.

12 - I have a temper, I admit that. I’ve made mistakes in the past. I have an ambition to be a writer, and I’ll correct anyone who prevents me from finishing my work. I have responsibilities now and I can’t overlook them.

13 - There’s one special person in my life who would do anything for me. He takes care of me and helps me get what I want. Maybe I’m a spoiled princess. He thinks I’m pretty, do you think I’m pretty enough?

14 - I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, but we just moved and I’m not sure I like it here. I’ve made a couple of friends so far. I may look like a fashion victim but I think I’m pretty cool. As it turns out, I’m also pretty fearless.

15 - My nightmare began when we touched down. We put out a call for help, but no one could hear it. I can handle myself – I’m a fighter, a protector, a martyr and a stranger. But enough about me, where do you want it?

16 - After founding a property development foundation, I experienced a tragedy that would change my life forever. But I saw an opportunity – an opportunity to change the lives of others. Too bad my time is running out.

17 - I am young and shy. My mum has a really exciting job. I love to make gifts for her. I haven’t seen my dad in a long time. Something bad has happened, but I didn’t mean to cause it. I was only playing a game with the captain.

18 - I’m a secret. A terrible family secret. I’m terminally ill, grotesquely disfigured, and alone most of the time. My sister cares for me. At the time of my passing, as my soul drifted away, I heard the faint echo of laughter.

19 - I’m a notorious serial killer, and I always wanted to cheat death. Even once they caught up to me, I had what I needed to make the transition. I will live on, and who knows - maybe one day I could be your buddy.

20 - I have many hidden talents; only my precious sees them. I have a vision of myself where I’m beautiful, and I’ll achieve it one stitch at a time. Until then, I’ll bid the horses goodbye, and hope it does as exactly I say.

ROUND 3: GENERAL HORROR TRIVIA

21 - What is the name of the melt-inducing alcoholic drink in Street Trash?

22 - What breed of dog is Cujo?

23 - What is the name of the cinema in Lamberto Bava’s Demons?

24 - Which actress links the following films: Altered States, Cat’s Eye, Firestarter?

25 - In What We Do In The Shadows, what is the name of the leader of the werewolf pack, played by Rhys Darby?

26 - In Jordan Peele’s Us, the hall of mirrors on the beach has two names, one in 1986 and one in the present day. Name them both.

27 - In Stephen King’s The Stand, who or what is Captain Trips?

28 - Which 90’s slasher film is set in Southport, North Carolina?

29 - In Gremlins, what is the name of Billy Peltzer’s dog?

30 - In the original, apocalyptic ending to Army of Darkness, how many drops of the sleeping potion does Ash accidentally swallow?

ROUND 4: TAGLINES

31 - Poison, drowning, claw, or knife - so many ways to take a life

32 - Be thankful for everything, for soon there will be nothing…

33 - Death is just the beginning…

34 - 2 terrifying. 2 frightening. 2 much!

35 - Fear, paranoia, suspicion, desperation

36 - We are our own worst enemies

37 - Killer looks

38 - You think you know the story

39 - In space, no one can eat ice cream

40 - The brain sees what it wants to see

Horrorconuk

Some great news from our friends at Horrorconuk 🤘👻

Well like many of you we are currently staying at home, having a cup of tea and waiting for all of this to blow over. We hope you're all keeping safe and maybe catching up on all those books, films and TV series you never got the time to read or watch. Our trusted pal Pete is keeping things going as usual on Facebook and Instagram and we're so grateful for all his awesome work as we near 30,000 followers on Facebook!

We have new dates confirmed for HorrorConUK to go ahead on the 26th & 27th September 2020. Hope you can make it! If you can make the new dates, you don't need to do anything, we will automatically reissue new tickets, and as always should any of our guests cancel we will refund your Photo Ops.

So far Skeet, Lance, Joe, Amanda and Katharine can make it, and we're awaiting confirmation from Tyler Mane & Zach Galligan. Our amazing guest interviewers - Tony Earnshaw, Darrell Buxton and Bunny Galore are on board too, as well as our talented film curator Ben Wilkinson, so we're all set, just on hold for the moment like everything else right now.

Thank you for all of your kindness & support at this very difficult and stressful time, we're all in this together. If you have any queries please do get in touch. We're thinking of you all, take care, keep safe and we hope to see you for much happier times at Something Wicked in September xx

Another huge loss to the genre film world today. Stuart Gordon’s filmography includes some of our absolute favourites, including Re-Animator, From Beyond, King of the Ants and Dagon. He will be sadly missed. RIP x

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing ok and staying safe. In these troubling times, it’s never been more important for us to stay connected, even if it has to be in a virtual way. We are a community and need to look out for each other. One thing we’re planning to do is arrange some watch party events online so we can enjoy some films together (more details to follow on this soon!) and we’re still working hard behind the scenes towards our 12th festival edition, scheduled for 22-25 October. In the meantime, stay indoors and look after yourselves and others. When things begin to return to normal and all the venues reopen, we’ll come together again to celebrate the way we do best: with horror movies, drinks, karaoke and our wonderful horror community. Big love, Rob, Polly, Lucy and Clare x

Hi pals, we are trying to raise funds via Kickstarter for our first ever feature film Seepers: A Love Story It's massively influenced by John Waters movies and films such as Bad Taste and the Greasy Strangler. Directed by me and co-written by the delicious Paul Huxley Check the page out and if you like what you see (or don't but are stupidly rich) then please make a pledge and share to help us get the word out. We are not holding back, this movie is going to be disgusting no matter what but you guys can really help us make it happen. Lots of love Mel and Hux.
