Association leaders have big responsibilities. From leading the board and growing the organization to driving change. It's a lot to carry, but you don't have to do it alone.

This is where strong partnership matters.

At IMI, our Account Executives work with nonprofit boards every day to help organizations move from ideas to impact.

They provide strategic guidance, leadership support, and a steady hand through growth, change, and everyday decision-making.

Their goal? Helping our nonprofit clients stay focused on what matters most: advancing their mission and serving their members and donors.

Today, we’re celebrating the Account Executives who help make that work possible. 👏

Member Services does more than answer phones.

At IMI Association Executives, our Member Services staff are relationship builders, problem-solvers, and strategic thinkers.

They’re often the friendly voice your members & donors hear first, but they also help nonprofits:
• Grow membership
• Improve member engagement
• Support renewals and retention
• Identify member needs and trends
• Create better member experiences

Strong membership professionals help organizations thrive. We’re grateful for these incredible team members who bring care, professionalism, and expertise to this work every day. 👏

IMI is proud to be celebrating 40 years of service to nonprofits!

What happens when you bring together four decades of impact, a room full of passionate people, and a bold vision for the future? You get a day like this.

From an energizing keynote by Larry Long Jr, CSP 🎤 challenging us to JOLT! into the next 40 years ... to a special virtual message from Stevie Kernick reflecting on IMI’s early days and legacy, this was a day to remember.

We paused to celebrate how far we’ve come with kind well wishes from many of our partner board members. And IMI President Linda Owens, CAE cast a clear vision for where we’re going next.

What better way to end the day than on a sweet note? We closed with staff awards and a giant cookie! We believe that this time of connecting as a team is key in serving our clients even better.

A huge thank you to TowneBank for hosting our business meeting and San Marcos Restaurant for helping us celebrate 40 years.

Nonprofit leaders are working to grow their organizations, engage their members, and advance their mission — often while balancing limited time and resources.

At IMI Association Executives, our role is to provide the clarity, strategy, and support that helps make that possible.

Our Leadership Team recently came together for our quarterly in-person meeting. This is intentional time to focus on how we can better serve the organizations we partner with.

During our time together, we:
• Evaluated what’s working
• Identified opportunities to improve
• Strengthened collaboration across teams
• Created strategies to help our clients grow

We’re thankful for the many dedicated nonprofit leaders we have the privilege to serve alongside every day!

Thanks to the IMI Leadership Team:
Linda Owens, CAE

If you want engaged members, recognition can’t be an afterthought. It has to be intentional.

When nonprofit boards create strategic opportunities to
• Highlight member contributions and service
• Share member stories and impact
• Celebrate participation and membership
they reinforce a culture where members feel seen, appreciated, and invested.

Recognizing members isn’t just a “nice to have.” It’s a governance practice that strengthens trust, loyalty, and long-term engagement.

How does your organization currently celebrate its members?
