Hey everyone!! We hope you’ve been enjoying the time since winter semester ended — whether you’ve been relaxing, working, taking spring classes, picking up new hobbies, or just getting through everyday life 💛 Don’t forget to take time for yourself, check in with your people, and reach out if you ever need support!!

Following this year’s ISU elections, we’re excited to share the results and introduce your new exec team. We can’t wait for the year ahead, never hesitate to reach out — even if it’s just to say hi :))

Ever wanted to try out top roping or bouldering? 🧗Want to build your currently climbing skills? 🪨Or simply tired of our VP Admin, Alex, constantly asking you to climb with them? 🥱

Well the ISU and miyomahcihowin have partnered up to host an Indigenous Student Climb Night at the Wilson Climbing Centre on March 4 from 5-7pm! We will have a UofA affiliated climbing instructor there to show us the ropes and introduce you to both top rope and bouldering. Plus, it’s a free event (yes, including gear)! Register either with the QR code or the link in our link tree. Feel free to DM us if you have any questions ☺️

Climb on!

A collaborative project led by nehiyaw artist Sandra Lamouche and settler artist Melanie Kloetzel. Just Breathe, Okâwîmâwaskiy offers a journey into and out of climate anxiety. Examining the deep inequalities and inadequate nature of Eurocentric cultural responses to the climate crisis, as well as the cultural possibilities that exist in connecting to the land via Indigenous worldviews, Just Breathe, Okâwîmâwaskiy creates an opening for audiences to engage in a dialogue about reconciliation, the climate emergency and cross-cultural futures.

Please join us for a keynote presentation, short film and an open discussion with the artists!

March 3rd 2026
5:30-8pm

Everyone welcome! Please share and invite your friends!
