The Laurelhurst Theater became part of Portland's cultural and architectural history when it first opened in 1923. The original single screen could seat 650 people and was one of the first art deco style theaters of the period. Over the years the Laurelhurst has been added onto and now offers four auditoriums with modern amenities but still maintains its classic appeal. Thank you Portland!

is thrilled to be able to offer two screenings of Portal to Hell on July 24th and 25th! Our opportunities to do special screenings of independent, self-distributed films are few and far between, and we get so excited when it works out. This movie feels especially catered to our audience as it balances horror and humor, while low-key making a statment about the world we live in.

Tomorrow: Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity S*x Pass!
In other hands, this could have been a plausible romantic comedy, but writer/director David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer) has no interest in directing a “believable” comedy. Gail Daughtry is a high-concept movie that’s a parody of high-concept movies. It is highly stylized and exaggerated, and hilarious.
