8:00 PM tonight — the maestro takes the screen. 🎹🎬

Bernstein's Wall is a documentary portrait of Leonard Bernstein unlike anything you've seen — built entirely from TV interviews, news footage, home movies, and personal letters, with his legendary 1989 Christmas Day concert in Berlin at the center of it all.

Variety calls it "GALVANIZING" and says it captures how Bernstein became the superstar of American high culture. The New York Times says it makes the case that his charge to artists — to lead the way in culture — is timeless, and more vital than ever.

In a world that needs art to unite it, Bernstein's Wall feels like exactly the right film at exactly the right moment.

Tonight at 5:30 PM — French cinema is in the house. 🎬🥂

Two Pianos arrives at Savor Cinema tonight for one screening only. Directed by French master Arnaud Desplechin, this sensual Hitchcockian melodrama follows a pianist who returns to Lyon after years of self-imposed exile — only to find himself caught between a ghost from his past and the woman he never stopped loving.

The Hollywood Reporter calls it "an elegant mélange" with a Herrmann-esque score that lingers long after the credits roll. And Charlotte Rampling? Critics are calling this one of her best performances in years.

FLAG DAY (Documentary, 72 minutes)
Set in the small farming community of Three Oaks, Michigan — home to the nation’s largest Flag Day parade — Flag Day is a verité portrait of ritual, identity, and belonging in an era of deep political division. Somewhere between tradition and transformation lies this village, whose annual parade has become a pageant of American aspiration and memory. Over the course of Flag Day weekend, the film immerses viewers in the lives of a diverse cross-section of townspeople: veterans, local business owners, marching bands, and volunteers who, for one weekend each June, create an event that is at once nostalgic and reflective of the tensions of our time. Their stories reveal both the beauty and the fragility of community life in a time of polarization. Flag Day was filmed in an observational, verité style, capturing moments of humor, conflict, and grace as the community prepares for its defining ritual. The film offers a ground-level portrait of civic life — a portrait that holds both the good and the hard truths of being American. The project asks what binds us together today and whether those bonds can still be renewed.
