Movies in the Park - Riverwalk Promoting Literacy, Community, and a Love of the Arts. Movies in the Park is a community outreach event sponsored by First Teachers Association.

We believe it is important that the community is aware and responds to the low literacy rate of the children of the community. First Teachers Association believes that the removal of Art programs from most schools is partially to blame. The Arts give our children voice..imagination...creativity...expression. The more our children wonder, the more they'll want to learn...the more they'll want to read.
