The Redford Theatre (And the Motor City Theatre Organ Society) are honored to announce that our president John Lauter has been recognized as the American Theatre Organ Society’s Organist of the Year. 👏👏👏

John is frequently declared the best in the biz from our stage, but this formal recognition comes to us from the ATOS 2026 Convention in Rochester, New York.

It’s 341 miles from Rochester, he’s got a full tank of gas, never bought any ci******es, and you can congratulate him on Friday as he plays before The Blues Brothers on 35mm.
