β¨οΈ Danson House / Bexley Register Office β¨οΈ
β
οΈ Did you know this house was once considered the most 'at risk' Grade 1 listed building in the whole of the UK!
β
οΈ Did you know that Her Majesty the Queen came and reopened Danson House in 2005 (its true, we have pictures).
β
οΈ Did you know that this is Bexleys local register office where you come to complete Births, Deaths, Marriages, Civil Partnerships, Notice of Marriages/Civil Partnerships and Citizenship.
β
οΈ Did you know we have a whole range of registrars/ushers who help us deliver this service.
β
οΈ Did you know that Kent County Council runs the registration service on behalf of London Borough of Bexley. A successful relationship that has helped residents.
β
οΈ Did you know that aswell as holding a statutory service, we put on events such as our successful producers markets every month, our successful street food evenings, outside theatre productions, big band concerts, xmas grotto with our very own Santa (it's true, he lives here building his list), filming productions such as Disney+
β
οΈ Did you know, we still hold heritage tours run by our beautiful and knowledgeable volunteers.
β
οΈ Did you know, we have started to work closely with Foster Together at London Borough of Bexley to ensure those who need support, get the support.
β
οΈ Did you know, that we have the community come to us time again to tell us how they love where we have taken this building.
β
οΈ Did you know, we have a very successful tea room with Chestnuts.
If you knew all, some or none of these things, its ok because what matters is that you are reading this post now and we welcome you to come and see the house in whichever capacity you need to visit us in.
We at Danson House really do appreciate the thanks/love/feedback that we get from our community. We are always learning to do more and to be better.
Come and say hello to anyone of the team when you are here next or walking through the park!
