What an absolutely brilliant turnout for The Lion King this afternoon! 🦁☀️

It is so wonderful to see the Common packed with picnic blankets, camping chairs, and happy faces.

But the weekend isn't over just yet!

Our grand finale, the visually stunning Life of Pi, kicks off at 17:00 🐅🌊

There is still time to grab your friends and family, head down to Plumstead Common.

Happy Sunday Plumstead! ☀️

Day two of the Plumstead Outdoor Cinema is officially here, and we can't wait to welcome you back.

After such a brilliant turnout yesterday, we are rounding off the weekend with a double feature:

🦁 The Lion King at 14:30
🐅 Life of Pi at 17:00

You can come on down from 14:00 to claim a spot on the common.

Don't forget to pack your picnic blankets and plenty of sun protection! It was a scorcher at 28°C yesterday, but today is looking like a much more comfortable 24°C.

This event is entirely free for the community, but if you are enjoying the weekend and want to help us build a tradition by bringing the cinema back next year, please look out for our donation buckets on-site or use the link in our bio.

Every single contribution makes a massive difference.

It was absolutely incredible to see so many of you out there enjoying the sunshine, food and film and we hope you had a great time.

Ready for round two? 🍿 The Plumstead Community Cinema is back today for our final day, featuring The Lion King at 14:30 and Life of Pi at 17:00! 🦁🫅🥧

🎥 Movies in the sun + delicious local food = the perfect weekend! 🍿

This weekend’s Plumstead Community Cinema is entirely free, so we’d love to encourage everyone to show some love to our amazing local businesses while you enjoy the films!

Treat yourself to some of the best food Plumstead has to offer:
🍔 Greenwich RFC - They’ll be firing up the BBQ on-site! Grab something hot while you get settled.
🥪 The Plumstead Pantry SE18 - Only a couple of minutes away, check out their absolutely delicious takeaway menu, ideal for bringing straight to your picnic blanket.
🍰 The Slade Cafe - The go-to spot for lovely cakes, fresh pastries, and the ultimate outdoor cinema snack: sausage rolls!
🍕 The Star Pub - They do great takeaway pizza, perfect for sharing.

🎬Join us THIS WEEKEND for the Plumstead Outdoor Cinema! Grab a blanket, gather your friends and family, and settle in for two days of fantastic, completely FREE films on the Common.

Here is what is playing:

Saturday 25 July
🦦 2:00 PM – Hoppers
💃 4:30 PM – Mamma Mia!

Sunday 26 July
🦁 2:30 PM – The Lion King
🐅 5:00 PM – Life of Pi

Entry is 100% free! We’ll have a volunteer refreshment stall running with popcorn and drinks, plus a donation point if you want to help us make this an annual summer tradition.

The countdown is on! 🍿 Plumstead Outdoor Cinema kicks off this Saturday.

Whether you are joining us for Hoppers, Mamma Mia!, The Lion King, or Life of Pi, make sure to pack your favourite snacks, grab your picnic blankets, and secure a great spot on the grass.

As a reminder, this is a 100% free community event supported by Greenwich RFC and the Royal Borough of Greenwich

It was very close, but we will be wrapping up the Plumstead Outdoor Cinema with a spectacular Sunday evening showing of Life of Pi!

Our next Plumstead Outdoor Cinema feature is... MAMMA MIA! 🎬🎤

Whether you’re a die-hard ABBA fan or just looking for a feel-good afternoon, this one is for you.

🗓️ When: Saturday, 25th July at 4:30 PM
📍 Where: Plumstead Common (by the Greenwich RFC)
🎟️ Entry: Completely FREE!

What to bring:
🧺 Picnic blankets, camping chairs, and your favourite snacks.
🎶 Your singing voices!

Please remember to respect the space and take all your litter home with you after the credits roll so the Common stays clean for everyone! 💚
