This year's show celebrates the 100th anniversary of The Adventures of Prince Achmed - the oldest surviving animated feature film in the world. Using hands, voices and other sounds, we will add rhythm and effects to the stories on screen.

It's time to take a look at what's been happening in our Print Studio.

At the start of the month, we welcomed tutor Beth Robertson back for a second Illuminate a Page masterclass. This three-day course allows participants to illustrate some chosen words using wood engraving and letterpress techniques.

Using moveable type and decorative borders, members of the class set their type and locked in their patterns. These were then printed on one of our beautiful Victorian presses. Take a look at the fantastic results!

If you're interested in having a go at letterpress or wood engraving, you don't need to dive in with a masterclass - we have some great introductory classes coming up. Head to our website to find out more.

Audio Descriptions now available for The Charm Offensive🎧

We're pleased to share our new audio descriptions for France-Lise McGurn's exhibition. Written by artist and describer Juliana Capes, who has more than 15 years' experience providing interpretation for galleries across Scotland with a poetic and emotional style that expands on and illuminates the works.

These are for anyone who wants to explore the exhibition in new ways, and particularly for audiences who are blind, have low vision or sensory impairments.
