The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, wide chest of drawers and a double wardrobe and bedside tables. The second bedroom has two single beds that can be linked to provide a superking bed if required. The dining room is open plan to the kitchen and the dining table seats six. r. There are patio doors to an enclosed garden where we have a five meter deep ancient well (covered with safety glass) and a small pond which attracts a variety of wildlife. The garden is a lovely sun trap, getting the sun all day. We have artificial grass so that you are not disturbed by garden maintenance. Patio furniture and a BBQ is available. The bathroom has been refurbished with a bath and shower over, as well as a separate shower cubicle. The lounge has a multi fuel stove (fitted in 2021 - hardly used) - you will receive a bag of logs and a bag of coal and instructions on how to lay a fire should you need them. There are two leather sofas, flat screen TV , DVD player and a wide selection of films, games, puzzles and lots of information on the local area. Monikie boasts a country park with sailing, fishing, walks, a play area, abundant wildlife, a Bistro Restaurant and reservoirs all on the doorstep of the cottage - less than 500 yards away! The village itself is superbly located as it is less than five miles from the sea side town of Broughty Ferry where you will find interesting, independent shops and excellent restaurants as well as a great beach. Dundee city centre is less than eight miles away where you will find the V&A museum. But Dundee boasts many other family driven attractions such as the historic Verdant works, The Discovery, and wide open spaces such as Camperdown Park among others. The Skessor Gardens hosts regular events and concerts so it’s worth keeping your eye on it! Arbroath with it's pretty harbour is a great place to visit and the historic city of Perth always has lots to offer. Scone Palace and Glamis Castle are "must visit" locations. For those who have sports on their minds, we are in a brilliant location for golf at Carnoustie and St Andrews as well as a host of other local courses. Cycling, fishing, shooting and walking are all easily accessible and we provide information about these at the cottage.
