UPDATE: Artificial Intelligence Casual Conversation Project

We have engaged with the local producer on this project and while they have been actively cooperating with us, they are ultimately unable to provide the information necessary to fully understand the scope of this project and cover it under a collective agreement. Therefore, we are still advising members not to work on this project.

UBCP/ACTRA strongly encourages any performer considering contributing to AI-related projects to proceed with caution and ensure they fully understand what they would be agreeing to, including any future rights over consent, control and compensation they may be asked to relinquish.

If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected]

In solidarity,
UBCP/ACTRA

Where do your dues go?

Membership dues help power the work your union does every day: negotiating fair contracts, distributing residuals, advocating for performer protections, and supporting a strong creative community.

They also help ensure performers have a voice as our industry evolves, from protecting young performers to addressing emerging challenges like AI.

Membership dues are due on April 1.
