Canada’s workforce is changing, and no single sector can navigate that change alone.

Today, CAHRC joins the National Sectoral Workforce Development Councils and workforce leaders from across the country in Ottawa for the inaugural National Workforce Leadership Summit, bringing together industry, government, educators, and workforce partners to examine shared priorities, including workforce resilience, AI adoption, skills development, and labour mobility.

For more than 30 years, workforce development councils have helped employers, governments, and partners build the talent pipelines Canada’s economy depends on. Representing industries that employ roughly half of Canada’s workforce, we believe the challenges ahead, from shifting skill requirements to emerging technologies, call for coordinated, cross-sector solutions, not isolated ones.

CAHRC is proud to stand alongside colleagues from manufacturing, transportation, tourism, electricity, mining, biotechnology, and beyond in this work.
