SEMPER MOVIES! Quinn, Curtis, and John are united and ready to discuss the infamous Scott picture, G.I. JANE! You may have only heard of this film from a snarky Oscars joke, but this Demi Moore/Viggo Mortensen picture is the real deal. We talk about the revelatory Moore performance; its feminist chops; Ridley doing Tony; and the jingoistic and questionable politics, particularly as it exists as a piece of pre-9/11 ephemera. Before that we talk some news of the week, including: new releases; strike delays; streaming woes; extended Barbie talk; and we touch on the death of Sinéad O'Connor.

"You lost today, kid. But that doesn't mean you have to like it."

With America in the midst of DIAL OF DESTINY fever, we decided to keep things topical for a consecutive week by discussing the third film in the series, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE! John is once again joined by Simon and recurring special guest Tom. This is a film we all have fond memories of, so we spent a lot of time talking about this film's return to the lighter whimsy of RAIDERS; Sean Connery and the Father/Son dynamic (and the weird meta-casting in context to the Moore Bond vibes); the great prologue; the MANY goofs and gags; and discuss where this film ranks among the other Indiana Jones films.

Before the film, we talked about some news of the week, including: new releases; quick RIP to Alan Arkin; ongoing labour news; recent trailers; and we also discuss what we watched this week.

"This is the day you will always remember as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow!"

Avast ye hearties! Twenty years ago was the release of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL, so we decided to celebrate the anniversary by making it the topic of today's episode. John is joined by Simon and recurring special guest Tom. We talk about the production of this film—from its origins as a humble adaptation of the namesake Disney ride to the big budget Bruckheimer produced swashbuckling epic. We also spent time talking about things we liked about this film on rewatch (and some stuff we were more critical of). As a brief spoiler note, we also touched a little bit on the sequels.

The boys discuss the gorgeous cinematography, what makes it special, contemporary and retrospective reviews, the narration, and those goddamn locusts.
