HI ALL, just a QUICK THANK YOU for everyone who came and supported The Murder City Carnivale of Cinema 2026!! THANK YOU to the bands, The Hammer Horrors, White Knuckle Fever and P***y Horse. I am STILL chortling how LOUD P***y Horse SMASHED their SET before Wolf Cat Fever!!! Other cinema patrons were EVACUATING other cinemas! THANK YOU to Film makers, Josh Sinbad Collins and Richard Eames for making the trek interstate!! Was a pleasure to see you and watch movies and hang!!! LOVE YOUR WORK!!! The Trasharama Crew WERE MAD!! (No arrests thankfully) Was so exciting also to have the AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE of Tura! from Tura Satana Productions. Followed by Faster P***y Cat Kill Kill. Watching these I KNOW I'm doing it all again. I WILL NEED help trying to find sponsors though. I just cant put my rent on hold, spend all my money and put all my time into it. "Written and directed by Richard Eames, this cyber punk thriller follows a young woman on the run from a notorious girl gang, the Skeleton Girls as she tries to survive a 24-hour news cycle frenzy. Already winning awards and praises such as Jury’s special prize at 46th Fantasporto International Film Festival 2026 and described by Variety as "Loud, urgent and unfiltered, a gritty reminder that the underground is alive and well", it is a wild ride across a post-Australian landscape with a mind melting mix of live action, bold animation and dark satire. Independently produced by husband-and-wife team Richard Eames and Helena Tay, it is a provocative dissection of contemporary issues such as social polarisation, fear, violence and the ideological fight for influence in society. Hosted live by the festival fiend himself, Dick Dale with house band The Raw Spud Ensemble on the floor, and a carnival of unusual characters to perform for your viewing displeasure, all while giving away a bevy of crap novelty prizes. You will be shocked, appalled and gratuitously entertained. If you have a taste for horror or just bad taste this line-up is for you. Plus, there is trashy merch!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the opening night of Murder City Carnivale of Cinema! It was a great crowd and a fantastic night kicking off with Melbourne rocker's P***y Horse, followed by the wild feature 'Wolf Cat Fever' and director Josh 'Sinbad' Collins answering questions, and signing merch from his magical suitcase. Thanks so much to all of our guests and attendees, and it's happening all again this evening with Trasharama kicking off at 5pm followed by Australian Cyber Punk thriller 'Skeleton Girls' with director Richard Eames in the house for another insightful Q&A. Be bad, be boisterous, be there... just don't call us p***y cat!

Plus 4 hours FREE PARKING for Wallis cinema patrons - carpark underneath the cinema, other nearby car parks and unlimited street parking in back streets! Or hop the tram from the city and peruse all of the many eateries & retail shops along this beachy strip! Get down to the bay and support small local businesses who have been doing things tough earlier in the year with lengthy roadworks (over now) and wintry weather! Rug up and roll out cool cats...
