Funded by the Student Government Association, we provide a variety of free and low cost programs for UNCW Students and the Wilmington community. ACE is made up of 5 student led committees. Activities - Schedules, promotes, presents and coordinates comedic, novelty, intellectual, diversity, cultural awareness and other programming efforts of all sizes to reflect the diverse interests of the student
body. Programs might include Last Seahawk Standing, Open Mic Nights and various social justice and awareness topics. Arts- The Arts Committee implements arts and crafts programs for students to participate in while fostering connections with other individuals at UNCW. Events include Crafternoons and Paint Like Bob Ross. Concerts - Schedules, promotes, presents and coordinates concerts of all sizes to reflect the diverse musical and entertainment interests of the student body. Films - Schedules, promotes, presents and coordinates a variety of cultural, political, educational and general interest films to campus. Works with other student organizations to present such films. They host the Friday Night Blockbusters and Saturday Night Spotlights. They also host many special events such as: Outdoor Movies, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Mini Hawk-In, and Hawk-In. Spirit and Homecoming - Programs and coordinates events such as Teal Tuesday and Festapalooza. Spirit and Homecoming is also responsible for planning a week-long Homecoming in the Spring semester. Job tasks also include thinking of innovative ways to keep up school morale throughout the year.
