After 3-1/2 years of diligent construction, Aztec Shawnee Theater opened in December 2020. We are showcasing some of the most incredible local and regional music acts in the beautifully restored auditorium for intimate, up-close, and personal concert

s. We are currently booking for private events including class reunions, birthday parties, corporate meetings, etc. The maximum occupancy of the theater is 270 but we are currently limiting ticket sales and entry to less than 200 to allow for safety and proper social distancing. The theater has vinyl auditorium-style seating that is sanitized thoroughly after every use. Aztec Shawnee Theater aims to be one of the most beautiful, single-screen theaters in the area. Visitors will witness firsthand the “golden age” of movies through vintage and classic film showings. The “movie palace” experience will be an integral part of all activities at Aztec Shawnee Theater. The Aztec Group plans to get Aztec Shawnee Theater on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lead by Frank Drummond (Missouri & Hazzard County) his band rocks with the sounds of “Southern Rock” and a flair of Classic Rock added in. This band will take you down that dirt road of rock that will make those memories roll in your mind. So many talented musicians in one group! You will recognize many of the bands that these folks play in. Over two hours of your very favorite Southern Rock Classics. We call this a “Celebration of Guitars” each and every time we take the stage. Come on out and rock with us!

🚙LOCATION & PARKING We are located at 11119 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS. There is parking behind the theater, along the street and across the street. We have a full bar🍺, popcorn🍿& snacks.🏪Outside food from local eateries can be brought into the theater. No outside drinks of any kind are allowed in the theater. Food Trucks are often outside of Transport Brewery. They may change without notice.

Aztec Shawnee Theater has NO advanced ticketing fees!! The price you see online is the price you pay! Ticket pricing does increase the day of the show. Tables with seats that include admission to the venue are available (while supplies last) either in the VIP section, or near the stage.

Venue seating
The auditorium has 4 ADA wheelchair spots plus 186 seats, including 104 general admission theater seats, 26 reserved theater seats, and 56 seats at 15 different tables.
