pply-now. This will allow you to receive a personal invitation via email. Q: Why doesn't TEDxSacramento disclose who the speakers are immediately? A: In the tradition of TED, we begin to announce speakers in the weeks prior to the event. In order to have an engaged community, we like to fill our seats with people who have varied interests. Our attendees are usually polymaths and not there to see any specific speaker, but rather to partake in the entire experience. This approach also frees up our curation team to seek out the best ideas and potential talks, rather than just focusing on "big names". If you are a fan of TED, you know that the most amazing ideas and talks come from the most unexpected places. TEDxSacramento is not, nor does it seek to become, a mere "speaker series". TIP: Sometimes speakers will disclose that they'll be speaking at one of our upcoming events, and that is often most easily found on Twitter. You'll find us there at Twitter.com/TEDxSacramento.
