Behind the scenes of Tricks for Treats 🎃🐾

One of the things I wanted for the course was a tunnel that felt roomy and approachable for different dogs — without going out and buying a bunch of new equipment.

So I started repurposing old kennel panels, adding fiberglass stakes for support, zip-tying everything together, and testing different ways to cover it.

The dogs have already been walking through, sniffing around, and helping me figure out what works. And apparently quality control also required Mr. AC² crawling inside with Frannie. 😂

It’s still a work in progress, but I’m loving watching this little idea come together. Next up: finishing the cover and giving it its Halloween makeover. 👻🕷️🎃

🎃 Tricks for Treats is coming to The Square! 🐾

October 21–November 4, weather permitting, our boarding and daycare dogs will get to take a turn on our Halloween-themed Tricks for Treats course!

The course will feature four stations focused on basic everyday skills like sits, downs, stays, place, engagement, leash work and more — with a few fun Halloween activities mixed in. 👻

The best part? The course will change from day so the dogs get a different combination of skills each time they run it.

Of course, there will be plenty of treats, Halloween fun, and pictures along the way. 🎃🍪📸

Just a little something extra to make boarding and daycare at The Square a little more fun this spooky season.
