Vision Crew Unlimited Vision Crew Unlimited was founded in 1994 with the goal of providing high quality visual effects for feature films, commercials, and television.

Building upon our excellent reputation for miniature fabrication and mechanical effects, VCU later expanded into a full service visual effects facility while keeping the flexibility that comes with a smaller company. This allowed us to take on projects, both large and small, and give each of our clients the high quality work and personal attention that we became known for.

The new season of Light & Magic is on Disney Plus. There's a fun sequence where the ILM team discusses building a lava river for Star Wars Episode III and I was struck that some years before, we had used almost exactly the same approach for a scene in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

A blast from the past. VCU was engaged to install an underwater ramp as well as rig the golf cart with an oxygen tank for the performer and we pulled the cart out of the water with a very, very long cable. 97 takes later, we had it!

For this Hyundai commercial directed by Justin Klarenbeck, VCU fabricated a miniature version of the car as well as gimbal and the surrounding environment. It's the kind of commercial that would be done completely CG today but we did it all practically.
