A GLITCH IN THE MATRIX, the new documentary about the nature of reality, has already proven popular since debuting at Sundance last week (virtually, of course). It's a "messy, mind-blowing collision of philosophy, technology, religion and fruit-loop paranoia" (Observer).

The new documentary BEAUTIFUL SOMETHING LEFT BEHIND depicts the operations of a grief counseling center from the perspective of its youngest participants, and in doing so paints an intimate and refreshingly humane portrait of children in mourning for their lost parents. The WINNER of our first-ever Favorite Virtual Movie survey is the documentary JOHN LEWIS: GOOD TROUBLE, by filmmaker Dawn Porter. Congressman Lewis may have left us this year, but the spirit of activism and civic responsibility that he embodied lives on. The contents of the film as well as the timing of its release in relation to this summer's racial reckonings left me not only sorrowful, but also perhaps more importantly hopeful, which I think makes it a fitting symbol as we look ahead to 2021. Thank you all again for your support.

Watched the Donut King last night. Once I worked out the kinks (website not accepting new password) and not being able to watch on Amazon Fire TV (I don't have Roku) I finally got there. The movie looked absolutely fantastic on my Panasonic TV. I beamed it with AirPlay, from the iPhone via Apple TV. Hoping many of us Laemmle fans support the new initiative, and the company will be able to have its own smart TV app, to make the viewing process easier.
Greg, I read your email about the movies you're hosting at the drive-in theater in the South Bay. Unfortunately, I'm not able to go to them because of the day they're on and the cost, because I'd probably go by myself but understand that you need to cover your costs and make some money. I look forward to returning to your regular movie theaters when they're able to open again, I assume with social distancing. All the best to you!
I have missed visiting my local Laemmle theater these past months and want to support independent theater so I have purchased and screened at home a few films. The last film I bought, "The Tobacconist" was wonderful! But it kept going out of sync. Every few minutes I had to stop and go back - it added 20 minutes to the viewing time! Is this my internet? Is it how the film was streamed? Is there something I can do to avoid this in future? It has made me leery to purchase additional titles.

I’ve been trying to get a refund for tix purchased for the Fantastic Fungi screening that was cancelled in March. It 4 months later now, I’ve called the number, left the info you asked for to process my refund, but I haven’t been contacted by anyone and I’m feeling ignored and frustrated by this. What exactly do I have to do to get my refund?
Hello fans of Laemmle Theatres and members of the Los Angeles, California community. Theatres desperately need your support during this time, and @Ryan Bruce Levey film distribution and PR services & Joma Films are proud to help bring the new Sci-Fi mystery The 11th Green to the Laemmle Theatres's virtual cinema. Please purchase a ticket and know you are helping keep your local theatre alive for years to come and support independent films too.
Hey everyone! PLEASE!!! Last chance to buy a ticket (or 2) and support struggling independent theaters across North America during the last days of the @Phoenix, Oregon Movie "Theatrical-At-Home" campaign online through May 31st!!
For you info...I don't use iproducts, so I can't "cast" to any device. I would be tempted by some of the films you have available...but why bother and be chained to either my computer, "pad" or phone screen! Content should really be made available to a wider audience via some other means. How about a "channel" which I could set up on ROKU to access the fims?
Thank you, Laemmle theatres, for providing great cinema online during the confinement. We are going to the movies every day!
Love Laemmle! Didn't realize this posting was going to take up an entire city block! But at least you can see what all is playing!
thank you Greg for your spirit and inventiveness. We are all grateful to you and the Laemmle family.
I received the email about "Laemmle Virtual Cinema". I want to support - but need clarity please. The links take one to Vimeo - how do you get the $s?
