Based on the celebrated ancient epic known to billions, Namit Malhotra's Ramayana: Rise of a Legend tells the story of Rama, a prince bound by sacrifice; Ravana, an immortal king driven by vengeance; and the prophecy that binds their fates together. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi. The film is produced by acclaimed filmmaker Namit Malhotra, whose Academy Award®-winning visual effects company DNEG is behind films including The Odyssey, Dune, Interstellar, and Inception; directed by Nitesh Tiwari, whose film Dangal remains the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide; and scored by Academy Award® winners Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. Namit Malhotra's Ramayana: Rise of a Legend will be released globally in theaters in time for Diwali on November 5.

A stirring, tender and gently humorous documentary, Give it a Shot follows Dr. Sujoy K. Guha, a visionary whose 1970s quest to develop a reversible male contraceptive set out to redefine reproductive responsibility forever. Decades later, his pioneering work continues to echo, inspiring a new generation of scientists, startups, and activists in India and the US, determined to bring male contraception into the 21st century. Director Vaishali Sinha takes us on a high-stakes, deeply human journey where science meets stubborn persistence, challenging long-held norms about who carries the burden of family planning.

Palmtrees, a screenplay development studio working in partnership with NEON, has opened applications for its
annual incubator. The incubator invites screenwriters from Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, the
Caribbean, and Oceania to apply.

Writers receive a USD $5,000 development award, 9 months of weekly one-on-one development with a seasoned story analyst, and a first-look consideration from NEON at the end of the program!

The incubator is open to writers at all stages of their career.
