On Friday, July 31st, everybody will be Kung Fu fighting once again, as The Mahoning Drive-In Theater, in association with Nine Bird Style Productions squares off with our second SUPER SECRET KUNG FU SPECTACULAR, three bone-breaking, head-crushing, rib-smashing, heart-stopping slices of martial arts mayhem blasting their way across the mighty Mahoning screen, in an o**y of action, all on 35mm!

A thousand ways to kill, a thousand ways to die! See the deadly arts battle for supremacy as Kung Fu super action explodes in front of you in three fist-filled flicks featuring moves and styles so secret, so deadly, we cannot reveal the titles until showtime!

It’s a whirlwind of incredible action never before seen on our screen, from vintage 35mm prints smuggled straight out of the 36th Chamber!

These films contain so much lethal force from masters of many styles, using an array of ancient weapons and techniques designed to be the ultimate in deadly revenge! Manchu mistresses, deadly boxers, Shaolin savages and more will fill the screen with the ultimate in martial arts mayhem!

Arrive early for a themed DJ set, raffle, themed merch items and more fun before the sun sets and the starry sky descends onto the massive Mahoning screen!

On Friday, August 14th, Alan Howard performs a live score to a digital presentation of John Carpenter’s CHRISTINE (1983), a pedal-to-the-metal terror ride with a pulsing synth sound that will rev your engine to the max! She was born in Hell and roams the streets in search of her next victim, blood red and sparklingchrome, a car that’s not a possession, but a possessor!

Once you’ve cooled your coils, get ready for a 35mm presentation of John Carpenter’s sinister ode to otherworldly overlords, PRINCE OF DARKNESS (1987)! An unholy evil awakens and only a team of paranormal researchers can stop it! Live the nightmare you dare not wake from!

Saturday night kicks off with a career-spanning “Best of Alan Howarth” concert, with killer tracks from his many notable and award-winning film scores, followed by a 35mm presentation of John Carpenter’s THEY LIVE (1988), with Roddy Piper as a working man fighting an alien invasion! PUT THE GLASSES ON!

Alan will be selling photos and autographs before the films each night, so be sure to arrive early to hang with the master!

Tickets are $20 per person for this amazing night of synth rock under the stars!
