In addition to daily screenings of first run independent and art films, we enhance the viewing experience with educational opportunities such as our cinema literacy classes and pre- and post-film discussions led by members of Ithaca’s impressive academic, cultural, and human services communities. We sh

ow films that have artistic merit and which raise a broad range of issues, including those featured in the annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival. Cinemapolis has also made a strong commitment to being the community's local cinema, offering a venue for local filmmakers. Other community opportunities include those for children and high school students, allowing them to see quality films appropriate for their stage of development.
