In memory of the late actress Sue Prado, a special screening of her films titled "Para kay Sue (At sa Pangarap ng Mapagpalayang Sining)" will be held on June 7 at Sine Pop, Quezon City. The first screening starts at 2:00 PM and the second is at 5:00 PM. Admission is free, and seats are limited.

Welcome to Samalamig Cold Readings!

We are a new theater space where aspiring and budding playwrights can submit fresh, WIP or never been performed scripts and have them cold read by volunteer audience members alongside featured artist for the night, Reb Atadero.

Our featured first act plays are:
1) “Paboreal”: a drama by Matt Ordonez
2) “Ang Trahedya ng Kamote”: a mystery by M. Manalastas
3) “Planet Bang!”: a dystopian s*x comedy by Rhain Alcoriza

and our featured 2nd Act play is Lia de Jesus’ "Questions"
which won First Place for One-Act Plays in the 41st Gawad Ustetika.

Samalamig Cold Readings is a safe space for exploration to develop these scripts and provides a refreshing experience to be part of a potential new play whether as an audience member or reader.

Audience members will be invited to create masks which will serve as the inspiration for a colorful cast of characters - some funny, some tragic, all imperfectly human.

We all wear different masks as part of everyday life. In this show, we tackle the question - can wearing a mask allow you to reveal your most authentic self?
