𝐀𝐅𝐌 𝐋𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐧é-𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 🎬 | 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 !

This September, the theme “Echoes of War” explores how cinema shapes our understanding of war, memory, and history. Through three very different perspectives on the Second World War and its aftermath, these films question how the past is remembered, reconstructed, and carried into the present. Aside from this, the films highlight the patriotism of those who fought, died, and carried on the stories of the conflict.

From the trauma of 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗿, to the reconstruction of the Battle of Okinawa in 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 and a film based on the true story of 𝗢𝗻𝗼𝗱𝗮’𝘀 decades-long refusal to accept the end of the war, set in the Philippines. Each film offers a different perspective on the lasting legacy of the World War.

🎭 Synopsis

Set in 1949 France, Les Choristes follows Clément Mathieu, a kind-hearted but disillusioned music teacher who takes a job supervising a boarding school for troubled boys. The school is ruled with an iron fist, but Mathieu introduces a different approach — forming a choir that changes the boys’ lives forever. Through music, hope is reborn in a place of despair.

This touching story about redemption, resilience, and the transformative power of music captured hearts worldwide and was nominated for two Academy Awards, including Best Foreign Language Film. The soundtrack, featuring the famous song “Vois sur ton chemin”, remains iconic to this day.
