When East Meets West

Where East and West shape the future of the film industry.

🔹17 - 19 January 2027 🔹

WEMW is organized by the FVG Audiovisual Fund in collaboration with the Trieste Film Festival, EAVE, Creative Europe Desk Italy and thanks to the precious and constant support of Creative Europe/MEDIA Programme, MIC -Direzione Generale per il Cinema, CEI – Central European Initiative, Film Center Serbia and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The next edition of WEMW will mark the start of a brand-new era in the design and planning of the co-production market. After ten years based on a traditional physical format and one year run fully online, WEMW will introduce a new concept based on a series of key elements: hybrid content & format, slate market & company planning, curation & motivation. WEMW will have a full horizontal integration between on-site and online participants, with a series of new initiatives meant to create a successful dialogue between the physical and virtual worlds. WEMW will take place in January 24-28, 2022 and it will include a first module running both on-site in Trieste and online, and a second module available only on the WEMW digital platform.

Sometimes you just wish the night would never end.
One more song. One more dance.

Everything goes by so fast — and maybe that’s exactly why it feels so good to get lost in the music 'til the very last beat.

Thank you for dancing with us, for screaming our favorite hits at the top of your lungs, for making WEMW 2026 closing night one to remember.
Thank you, for sharing another edition with us.
We truly hope you enjoyed the ride while it lasted, just like we did at our Closing Party 🫶🏻

And since we have a bit of a thing for nostalgia...we couldn't resist capturing our 80s-themed concert on film while we were at it!📸
