This is Carina, our founder, strategic AND creative force behind everything The Event Edit brings to life. From the first spark of an idea to the very last detail on the day, Carina is the one dreaming it up, styling it out, and making sure nothing is ever overlooked.

A serial entrepreneur with over 15 years in early years education, Carina built The Event Edit from a simple idea into an award-winning business, recently named Kerry Business Woman for Services at the Connect Kerry Women in Business Awards. Her mind never stops, there’s always a new concept, a new setup, a new way to make a celebration even more special. And she LOVES the client chats!

Party Helper or Wedding Nanny? It's the question we're asked all the time, so here's the difference!

Our Party Helpers are your extra pair of hands on the day. From clearing tables and offering drinks to keeping everything flowing (and even playing games with the little ones), they're experienced staff who let you relax and enjoy your own event instead of working it. Think of them as the reason you actually get to sit down.

Our Wedding Nannies are something different: fully qualified, experienced childcare professionals. They can take sole charge of children, care for them from the daytime right through the evening, and even provide overnight support. For couples and parents who want their little ones expertly looked after, it's complete peace of mind, all day and into the night.

The kids’ table gets a bit of a bad reputation. Wobbly folding table, paper cloth, a few crayons, tucked away in a corner. Our edit is anything but that!

For this milestone 40th at Beaufort House, we styled a children’s table with the same care as everything else. Thoughtful detail, a proper sense of occasion, so the little guests felt every bit as special as the guest of honour.

And the finishing touch is always our team. The people who set every piece just so, who make it look effortless, and who genuinely love what they do. This time with a very proud little helper in his own Event Edit uniform, learning the ropes early.

This is the detail that sets a celebration apart. When the little ones’ space is styled with intention, the whole room feels considered.

Here’s to 40 years, and a table the kids won’t forget!

The why behind it all.

We travelled to Miami to learn, grow, and bring back everything we could to make the Event Edit experience even better for you. And of all the lessons, this is the one that stuck: get really clear on your why.

For us, it's simple. It's creating special memories for little ones at every celebration we're part of.

Like you, we know what a celebration can feel like from the other side. The parent who spends the whole party topping up drinks and watching the clock instead of enjoying it. The mum who barely sits down. The worry about whether the kids will be happy, settled, and safe while you're pulled in ten directions. We see it, and it's exactly what we set out to change.

When the little ones are cared for and caught up in the magic, you get to be present too. To actually enjoy the event you planned! That's the memory we're really creating, for them and for you.

Every setup, every detail, every decision comes back to that.

This is what we hope every family feels at the end of a wedding day.

Rachael and Wayne wanted their son to enjoy the day as much as they did, and to have somewhere of his own to relax when a long wedding got busy.

So that's exactly what we created, a space for him and his cousins to play, unwind, and be part of the celebration in their own way. (The popcorn machine may have won over a few adults too.)

When the little ones are happy and looked after, everyone relaxes. The parents get to be guests. The children make memories. And the whole day flows that little bit easier.

That's the difference a thoughtful children's space makes, and it's what we'd love to bring to your wedding too.

What a month! Here’s a little look at what made August one for The Event Edit memory scrapbook.

Event of the Month: A wedding at The Europe - there’s luxury and then there’s this!
Most Popular: Bell tents! We loved creating a super cool bell tent setup for a 21st birthday.

BTS: Going to Miami. And not for a holiday. Mick and l have been to Miami to attend a business growth event, where we'll be learning from some of the very best in the industry.

Although our background is in childcare, great businesses all have one thing in common—they create exceptional experiences. That's exactly what we want to continue building here at The Event Edit.

We truly believe that if you stop learning, you stop growing. Every conference, every conversation and every new idea is another opportunity to come home inspired and raise the bar even higher.

Our goal has never been to simply provide a service. We want every celebration we create to become a lasting memory for the families who trust us with their special moments.

We're excited to bring fresh ideas, even more creativity and an even bigger vision back to Kerry.

Most children's entertainment is designed for the loudest, busiest version of fun. And for so many little guests, that's exactly what makes a celebration too much.

This is the part of planning that gets overlooked, and it's the part we care about most.

Carina's 15 years in early years education, including running inclusive childcare settings, means designing for neurodiverse children isn't an add-on for us. It's built into how we think about every single space.
