A little look back at Flesk Fest, and what it really meant to us.

We moved to Killarney from London, back to roots that were always here waiting for us. There's a particular kind of pull that brings you home, and when it came, we followed it.

Building The Event Edit in Kerry has always been about more than starting a business. It was about planting ourselves in a community we wanted to be part of, and one we wanted our own children to grow up in. Every setup, every celebration, every early morning and late-night takedown has been part of that.

So to have become a trusted name for event setups across the county, and to have been recognised as Kerry Business Woman for Services at the Connect Kerry Women in Business Awards, means more than we can properly say. What we treasure is what it reflects: a community that welcomed us, trusted us, and let us become part of its celebrations.

Days like Flesk Fest are where it all comes together. The chance to show up, dress the marquee, bring a little joy (and a couple of alpacas), and give something back to the place that has given us so much.

We're into August, and if the holidays are starting to feel long... you're not on your own.

The camps are booked out or finished. The "I'm bored" has become a chorus. And there's still a good stretch of summer to fill before the school bags come back out.

So here's the one that actually changes the week.

With three kids ourselves, we know the days that need rescuing. Our midweek igloo setup gives them a cosy, weatherproof world of their own for a couple of days... movie nights, hangouts, somewhere that feels like an event rather than the same four walls. Think of it as the camp alternative, except this one comes to you and there's no 8am drop-off.

And you? You get your week back. The house stays calm, the energy stays contained, and you finally get to take a breath (or get back to work if you're anything like us).

These are the last of the summer dates, and once they're gone, they're gone.

A children's space at a wedding doesn’t have to mean breaking the look you worked so hard to create.

For Sinéad and Johnny's day at Muckross Park Hotel, we designed a dedicated children's room that gave little guests everything they needed... sensory play, chill-out zones, room to rest... without a single primary-coloured plastic anything in sight.

This is something we feel strongly about. Your youngest guests deserve a space that's considered, calm, and beautiful, styled to sit seamlessly within your venue and your vision. Soft palettes, natural textures, thoughtful details that make it look like part of the celebration.

Welcome back to What's in the Box, where I show you inside each corner of our Children's Wedding Lounges. Today, it's one of my favourites: the cosy reading corner.

At first glance, you might think it's a box of soft furnishings. But there's so much more to it than that.

The rugs, the cushions, the blankets... a cosy little space to sink into on what can be a big, overwhelming day for a child. Somewhere to relax, and just be.

Inside, you'll find classics we all know and love (The Gruffalo being a personal favourite), books that bring little ones together over a giggle, our Proud to Be Irish and Gaelic titles, and seasonal reads chosen for the time of year. So outside the van doors open, the boxes are lined up, and everything we’ve planned for this couple’s day is sitting there ready to become something beautiful.
