🎬🩸 We’re expanding the Dead Northern programming team - volunteer applications are now open!

If you love horror, live for cinema, or spend your nights obsessing over short films, this could be for you.

As a programming volunteer, you’ll get hands-on festival experience, work alongside fellow horror fans and filmmakers, and help shape the lineup for York’s spookiest celebration of cinema 👻

Your mission? Watch and review a selection of horror shorts, then work with the team to decide which films make it onto the big screen.

No previous experience needed - just passion, good instincts, and a few hours to dedicate to discovering brilliant, weird, terrifying films 🎞️
