🎬 WE'VE GONE LASER! 🎬

We're excited to announce that all three screens at Wells Film Centre have now been upgraded from traditional xenon lamps to Appotronics laser light sources in our Barco projectors.

It’s an £18,500 investment in the future of the cinema, bringing a brighter, crisper and more consistent picture while reducing the electricity used by our projectors by around two-thirds. ⚡

The new system also produces much less heat, requires fewer lamp replacements and helps us reduce our environmental impact.
Most importantly, the savings will help us continue to keep our standard cinema tickets at just £5 into 2027 (excluding Event Cinema and Special Events). ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the summer, whether you've bought a ticket, enjoyed a film, or stocked up at our sweet shop and bar. Your support has helped make this investment possible.

As an independent, family-run cinema in Wells for 34 years, we're delighted to be investing in the future of Wells Film Centre.

Our next Event Cinema is,
Thursday 1st October at 7pm.

Girl From the North Country [15],

All tickets £15 Book here t.ly/LAKcy Or tel 01749 673195 or in person 1pm to 9pm daily.

Written and directed by celebrated playwright Conor McPherson and featuring Tony Award-winning orchestrations by Simon Hale, Girl From The North Country reimagines 20 legendary songs of Bob Dylan as they’ve never been heard before, including “Forever Young,”
“All Along The Watchtower”, “Hurricane”, and “Like A Rolling Stone”.

It’s 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota. We meet a group of wayward travellers whose lives intersect in a guesthouse filled with music, life and hope. Experience this “profoundly beautiful” Broadway production (The New York Times) brought to vivid life by an extraordinary company of actors
and musicians.
