We showed the live football l match for Portsmouth Cricket club last night and 100 people enjoyed the open air live football show and last Friday we showed W***y Wonka outdoor cinema. It was stunning again. Remember the next Friday (17 July) we will have Oliver Twist outdoor cinema free for public at Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club

Portsmouth Film Society is excited to announce the return of our free ‘I Am Only Human’ Filmmaking Course as part of the 2026 Recovery Festival with Society of St James!

This is a free 10 week course offered to anyone living in Portsmouth who has been affected by drug or alcohol use. This course aims to help with learning new skills, meeting new people and provides an introduction to filmmaking. Students will showcase their own short films at the Recovery Festival!

🗓️ Course Dates: 2nd September – 10th November 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm (2.5 hours per week)
