🏆 Congratulations, Danny!

A huge congratulations to our Defence Director, Danny Downham, who was crowned Reservist of the Year at last night’s Boots & Berets Awards! 👏

A fantastic achievement and a well-deserved recognition of Danny’s continued commitment to the Armed Forces community, both through his role at Anderson Green and his service as a Reservist.

It was also a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements of so many outstanding individuals and organisations across the Armed Forces community.

As always, Anderson Green are proud to sponsor the Boots & Berets Awards and support an event that recognises the incredible contributions of Reservists, veterans and the wider Armed Forces community.

🎖️ Congratulations, Danny!

We’re delighted to announce that our Defence Director, Danny Downham, has been shortlisted for Reservist of the Year at this year’s Boots & Berets Awards on Thursday 10th September 2026! 👏

Danny served for 32 years in the Regular Army with the Royal Engineers before transitioning to the Army Reserve, where he remains a Lieutenant Colonel.

Danny is a massive advocate of the Reservists; Cadet Forces and Armed Forces families.

Danny commits a significant amount of his personal time championing the value of military experience in the workplace, actively supporting Reservists, Veterans and service leavers.

As Danny says:

“It would be remiss of me in my current roles not to look after our Veterans and Reservists who have committed so much through Military Service.”

We’re incredibly proud of Danny and this well-deserved recognition.

💪 ONE MISSION. 24 HOURS. NO EASY MOMENTS.

Our Leeds Director, Andy Moss is taking on the SF Elite 24HR Challenge on Saturday 12th September — a gruelling 24-hour endurance challenge raising funds for Veterans Coastal Retreats.

Two teams, 16 athletes, 24 hours non-stop and four tough stations — all to support those who have served.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Anderson Green 25th Anniversary Charity Cycle Challenge — whether you took part, helped behind the scenes, or simply helped spread the word.

We’re delighted to say that the team have now successfully completed the challenge, cycling from Nottingham to Leeds and back in support of SSAFA. It was a fantastic achievement, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part and helped make it such a success.

Although the challenge is now complete, our fundraising page is still open, and we’re continuing to raise as much money as possible for SSAFA.

🚴 250km COMPLETE!

Our incredible team have successfully completed their 250km charity bike challenge, cycling from Nottingham to Leeds and back again as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations!

After two days, plenty of miles, tired legs and hopefully a few well-earned drinks, the team crossed the finish line in style.

A huge well done to everyone who took part, and a massive thank you to everyone who supported the challenge and helped us raise money for SSAFA.
