We're really excited to be presenting a special matinee screening of classic '60s kitchen sink drama Saturday Night and Sunday Morning at Savoy Nottingham on 15th August.

Based on the bestselling novel by Alan Sillitoe, the film follows Raleigh factory worker Arthur Seaton (Albert Finney in his breakout role) through a whirlwind of work, relationships, rebellion and weekend excess in post-war Britain. Featuring scenes shot in Nottingham city centre, Radford, Lenton, and even inside the Savoy cinema itself, it offers a rare glimpse into the city’s cinematic past.

Huge thanks to Dave, Savoy Nottingham's projectionist, for all his hard work on Monday night, keeping the 35mm print of Enter the Dragon running smoothly. He even rescued a few frames of snipped film for us. Needless to say, we think Dave's a legend! 🐉🎞🐉📽🐉

A big, big thank you to everyone who came along to our sold out 35mm screening of Enter the Dragon! Thanks to everyone at Savoy Nottingham for being great hosts, and to Dave for being the best projectionist! And congratulations to our quiz winner who took home a bagful of excellent prizes.

We're taking a little break in July, but we'll be back on the 15th August with a very special matinee screening of Saturday Night & Sunday Morning, the classic '60s drama filmed around Nottingham - which includes a scene filmed in the Savoy itself! You can book your seats here:
