We wanted to share a heartfelt reflection from one of our amazing foster carers 🌟 about their fostering journey 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

“Over the many years of fostering we have faced many challenges that leave you feeling utterly exhausted 😴💭, but the special moments you experience far outweigh those 💖

Seeing how the children progress 🌱✨ — whether they make big steps or small 👣 — they are all important ⭐ and we are the ones to celebrate with them 🎉🥳 Then comes the reminder of why we do what we do every single day 💙

This Foster Care Fortnight, we’re celebrating the incredible difference foster carers make every single day. 💙

At CFS Care and CFS Fostering, we know that strong, supportive relationships can change lives. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and cared for — and foster carers play a vital role in making that happen.

We wanted to say a huge congratulations to one of our young people, H, from our GM Supported Accommodation service, for winning a writing competition which will be getting published in a book that’s going into Stranger Sagas - and even more incredible, it’s going to be kept in the National Archives of the British Library forever!

Say hello to what is set to become CFS Education’s first specialist SEMH school, Rainshore House! Renovations will soon be underway, with plans to welcome up to 55 children later this year!

As part of our established CFS Care organisation, Rainshore House is committed to creating a safe, nurturing and aspirational learning environment where children and young people can thrive and reach their full potential 📚✏️🎓

We are incredibly excited about this new venture and can’t wait to share each step of the journey with you! 🏫📖

Happy Mothers’s Day 💗💐 to all the mums, foster mums, grandmas, carers and the women who step in to nurture and support a child when they need it most. We hope you have a lovely day that you deserve 🌷

We also know that today can bring many different emotions. For some it is a time to celebrate, for others it may be a time to reflect or remember someone special, we are thinking of those and sending our love to those who may find today a difficult day ✨
