🧙‍♂️ SHAW-SHOCK: SHAW BROTHERS HORROR COLLECTION VOL. 5 – REVIEW 🐒

The latest Imprint Asia / Via Vision Shaw Brothers box set brings together three wonderfully wild slices of Hong Kong genre cinema: Black Magic, Black Magic 2 and the absolutely bonkers The Mighty Peking Man!

From sinister sorcery and creepy curses to giant ape mayhem, this is another eclectic collection that shows just how fearless Shaw Brothers could be when mixing horror, fantasy and pure exploitation cinema.

Black Magic and Black Magic 2 deliver plenty of bizarre rituals, revenge and memorable practical effects, while The Mighty Peking Man goes full monster movie madness with giant creatures, jungle adventure and some seriously entertaining old-school special effects.

The films might not all be for everyone, but for fans of cult cinema, Shaw Brothers and Hong Kong horror, there is plenty to enjoy here. Add in the presentation and extras from Imprint Asia, and this is another very welcome release for physical media collectors.

🥊 REVIEW | The Kung Fu Kid (Well Go USA) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

If you're looking for a fun martial arts adventure for the whole family, The Kung Fu Kid delivers plenty of action, humour and heart.

With colourful animation, exciting fight scenes and a positive message about perseverance, this is an entertaining introduction to kung fu cinema for younger audiences while offering enough nods for older martial arts fans to enjoy too.
