So the schools return, and it's the Book Day/Week season. Always difficult to predict demand, especially when the term 'book' is open to interpretation (and 'books' themselves come in a range of media formats). Anyway, slight surprise at one of our first requests – Hamnett costumes. It's for a member of staff rather than a student, but at least it's topical.

At this late stage, on the road to the Festive Season, would-be cosplayers and costumists (?) are still having problems with Internet deliveries, even if they think they've left plenty of time. Being wary of such hazards, we try not to buy too much online (and we never market anything until we actually have it). Doesn't help when the delivery estimates tell porky-pies. We had something promised by 16th December – turns out it hadn't even left China then and is only just winging its way to the UK! Caveat Emptor.
