A portrait of Marie Walcamp, over a century old, is one of the oldest surviving decorations of the Duke of York's.

Don't miss our next Duke's Days film, Singin' in the Rain, where we'll be exploring cinema's 1920s transition to the talkie told through the life of the silent movie star with an introduction from Duke's enthusiast, Alexia Lazou.

Renowned as the "Dare-Devil Girl of the Silent Movies", Walcamp's own career was over with the revolution of sound, but her portrait survives over a century later in the shadows of the cinema.

That's Sunday at 12pm - all ticket holders get a souvenir postcard!
