Brighton Rocks International Film Festival (BRIFF) welcomes submissions for the 4th year running.​​ ​​Brighton Rocks is a young festival with big ambitions: to give maximum support to emerging filmmakers and to become the UK’s main forum for indie and underground cinema. When you submit to Brighton Rocks, we pledge that your film will be reviewed by professionals with TLC. If your film embodies our attitudes and aspirations and fits into one or more of our categories, we want to help you get the recognition it deserves!

A little throwback to our LUNA premiere🌙

We loved bringing LUNA to the big screen at Duke’s at Komedia for a special BRIFF screening!
Set in Brighton on the last day on Earth, this indie masterpiece gave us plenty to think about — and we loved hearing more about the making of the film during our Q&A. ❤️
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to actress Sophoulla Gibson and director Andrew McKenzie for sharing the stories and creative thinking behind the film.

We were especially proud to see BRIFF26 alumni being screened and awarded - special shouts out go to Brighton-based production by James Card ‘Clutter’ (best LGBTQIA+ Voice), Max Fisher’s ‘Rule, Britannia’ (Best Narrative Short) and ‘Friday is Mushroom Soup Day’ by Arnold Rice starring the phenomenal Katy Trevor (Best Working Class Voice & Best in Festival).

At Brighton Rocks we have been very lucky to host some incredible guests and creators over the course of our journey. But this year brought one of our favourites yet; musician Dylan Holloway.

Dylan brought his inspiring film to BRIFF this year; he graced us with an insight into his transition journey. Allowing us to share his story was an honour and privilege that we will never take lightly. Following on from his screening he put on a wonderful performance for us; sharing his unreleased album and creating a wonderful environment for everyone involved ✨

At BRIFF we love being able to share our stage with creatives and other talented artists throughout the festival: who knows what next year will bring!?!🎬😁
