Two cultures, one wedding in Larnaca, Cyprus. Evgenia & Geri, filmed by Red Lens Films.

They were neighbours in Bath when the first lockdown closed everything. Gardens were the only place anyone could meet, so that's where it started.

Last May they married in Larnaca. His morning was Albanian, with clarinet, accordion and drum. Hers was Cypriot. A violin played outside Saint Lazarus Church as she arrived. And late that night at Ktima Xristalogianni, a napkin was set on fire while they danced. It's the Albanian tradition of Shamia e Beqarit, which marks the end of the groom's single life.

Black tables, white flowers, and candlelight. Royal Hall in Nicosia, set for a January wedding.

Christina wanted black in this room and nowhere else, and Santa Elena made it work. Gold candles on every table, white flowers, crystal chairs, and fairy lights strung across the old cinema hall. It looked like winter should.

A January wedding inside the church of Apostle Barnabas in Dasoupoli, Nicosia.

Icons cover the walls all the way up into the dome, and the winter light comes through the high windows in blue. I have filmed in a lot of churches across Cyprus. This one stays with me.

Jason came down the stairs and the musicians were already singing ''σήμερα γάμος γίνεται.'' Today, a wedding is happening.

That song has opened Cypriot wedding mornings for generations. I never get tired of hearing it live.

The party at Charidio in Limassol kept going long after the cake was cut.

Raphael and Victoria's friends filled the floor and stayed there. Some of the best footage from any wedding comes from the hour nobody expects me to still be filming.

Captain's Cabin sits right on the water in Limassol, and every table faced it.
In his speech, Harry told guests the day was full of firsts for him: the church, the venue, even the seating plan. Then he thanked every person in the room for shaping who he is.
