Anchor Fest is next week everybody! Who's going?

Who’s coming to ANCHOR? ⚓️

Don’t miss your chance to see these featured filmmakers, who will be joining us for live Q&A sessions following their screenings!

After a Canadian Premiere at the Atlantic International Film Festival, Al Tuck My Blues Away arrives at City Cinema tomorrow. The film is an intimate portrait of Canadian (Island!) cult singer/songwriter Al Tuck. And the Oct 2 screening has a Q&A with Al Tuck and director
Brian Harrington!

To give you some idea about the unique subject of this doc, here's what others have to say:
🔥"Al is a genius like there is no other genius. And nobody's ever heard of this guy."
🔥"He could succeed. He seems to choose not to."

Winner, Best Feature Documentary, 2026 - Folkestone Independent Film Awards

Coming soon to City Cinema! Did you know there will be a Q&A on Oct 2 with Al Tuck and the director Brian Harrington?

Now that AIFF has wrapped up, I'd like to remind any Prince Edward Islanders that the film will be heading to Charlottetown for a week run at the City Cinema, Sept 30th-Oct 6th. Al and I will be in attendance on Friday, Oct 2nd for a Q&A (and maybe a short performance by Al). Hope to see you there!

Islander Show-down, a game show parody produced by PEI's Reel Media, is inviting Islanders to take part in their pre-show question poll. Your input will help shape the conversation before they tape the show LIVE on Nov 7, 2026 (7 PM - 10 PM) at Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown.

Take the poll! (it's anonymous) https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScX9Fn1msAtm2EVW_r3zgEzILYhbj4FTnBdh3JvPYsOZpoPhw/viewform
