Join us for our September Indigenous movie night at the Aron Theatre!

We’ll be screening Rhymes for Young Ghouls, a powerful coming-of-age film set on a Mi’kmaq reserve in 1976. The film follows Aila, a teenager navigating life, family, and resistance in the shadow of the residential school system.

Everyone is welcome. Come out, watch a great film, and support Indigenous programming in our community.

Join us this third Thursday in August to explore through Beans' eyes. The film explores family, identity, courage, and resilience as the Mohawk community stands together to protect their land from the expansion of a golf course onto a sacred burial site. Inspired by true events, BEANS is a powerful coming-of-age story that offers a moving perspective on one of the most significant moments in recent Indigenous history.

🌈 July's Indigenous Film is Wildhood! 🏳️‍🌈

Join us at the Aron Theatre on Thursday, July 16 at 7:00 PM for this powerful Mi'kmaw coming-of-age film.

Wildhood follows two brothers on a journey across Mi'kma'ki in search of their mother. Along the way, one brother discovers not only his family and culture, but also his identity as a Two-Spirit/queer Indigenous person. It's a moving story about belonging, self-acceptance, love, and finding community. 🧡💛💚💙💜

Join us June 18 for a special Summer Solstice event at the Aron Theatre Co-op.

Chief Taynar Simpson of Alderville First Nation will share the story of granting legal personhood to Rice Lake and the work being done to protect the water.

7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM) Pay what you can admission Free admission and popcorn for youth ages 15–25

We'll finish the evening with a few rounds of bingo.
