Hi friends!
Letโ€™s talk about something you hear on the news a lot: ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ณ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป.

Inflation means ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐—บ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ด๐—ผ ๐˜‚๐—ฝ over time.
When people say inflation is โ€œlowโ€ or โ€œmoderating,โ€ it sounds like good news โ€” but it doesnโ€™t help everyone the same way.
Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s really going on, explained in simple terms.

Rich families donโ€™t spend much of their money on things like gas, groceries, or electricity.
They also own things like houses and stocks, which usually

Canada and the United States donโ€™t trade as master and servant.
We trade as neighbours โ€” two sovereign nations whose economies, families, and communities are deeply connected.

Canada said no to a deal that crossed the line from negotiation into control.
Because partnership doesnโ€™t mean surrender.
And sovereignty isnโ€™t for sale.

Millions see the apple fall and never give it another thought. Millions watch the world tilt in one direction or another โ€” elections, crises, headlines, outrage cycles โ€” and move on as if none of it deserves a second look. The surface is enough. The moment passes. Life continues.

But progress has never come from the people who simply observe. It comes from the ones who pause, who ask why, who refuse to accept the easy explanation or the comfortable narrative. The ones who understand that every falling apple has a cause, and every societal shift has a deeper story beneath it.

Passive participation shapes the world we get.
Active thought shapes the world we deserve.

History isnโ€™t written by the majority who shrug and carry on. Itโ€™s written by the minority who question, who analyze, who refuse to sleepwalk through decisions that affect everyone. Theyโ€™re the ones who push past the noise, past the slogans, past the reflexive reactions โ€” and insist on understanding whatโ€™s actually happening.

Most people witness events.
A few people interrogate them.
And those few are the ones who change the trajectory for everyone else.

Realโ€‘World Reflection

If weโ€™re being honest about Albertaโ€™s situation, the province isnโ€™t suffering because of Ottawa alone. A huge part of the strain Albertans feel today comes from decisions made right here at homeโ€”by a provincial government that has struggled, stumbled, or outright failed in the very areas it claims to defend.

Energy policy hasnโ€™t become more stable.
Pipeline strategy hasnโ€™t become more effective.
Environmental regulation hasnโ€™t become more predictable.
Tax structure hasnโ€™t become more balanced.
Trade relationships havenโ€™t strengthened.
Resource revenue hasnโ€™t been managed with longโ€‘term discipline.
Social programs havenโ€™t become more reliable.
Economic development hasnโ€™t become more coherent.

These arenโ€™t abstract policy categoriesโ€”theyโ€™re the daily machinery of a functioning province. When they break down, people feel it in real life: in stalled projects, in unpredictable costs, in weaker services, in businesses hesitating to invest, in families wondering why everything feels harder than it used to.

Itโ€™s convenient for a government to point at Ottawa and say, โ€œLook over thereโ€”thatโ€™s* the problem.
But the reality is simpler and more uncomfortable: Albertaโ€™s current challenges are not only external. Theyโ€™re internal. Theyโ€™re the result of choices, priorities, and governance failures over the past three years.

A referendum about separation wonโ€™t fix any of that.
It wonโ€™t repair a healthโ€‘care system.
It wonโ€™t stabilize resource revenue.
It wonโ€™t rewrite tax policy.
It wonโ€™t rebuild trust with industry.
It wonโ€™t restore public services.
It wonโ€™t create a coherent economic plan.

Those are provincial responsibilities, and they remain provincial responsibilities no matter how loudly the government talks about Ottawa.

Albertans deserve better than a government that blames someone else for problems it helped create. They deserve leadership that can manage the basics before launching constitutional theatrics.

The real world is telling a simple story:
Alberta isnโ€™t suffering because it lacks independence.
Alberta is suffering because it lacks competent governance.

And until that changes, no referendumโ€”binding or nonbindingโ€”will deliver the stability people are looking for.

Albertans overwhelmingly agree that food should be safe, clean, and responsibly handled. Strong inspection systems, clear standards, and quick responses to contamination protect families and strengthen trust in our food supply.

Across the province, people value the work of farmers and food producers. Albertans want practical, predictable rules that protect consumers and support a thriving agricultural sector.

Most Albertans believe foodโ€‘safety decisions should be guided by evidence. Clear communication during recalls and open reporting of risks help everyone make informed choices.

Environmental stewardship is widely supported. Protecting soil, water, and animal health is seen as essential for longโ€‘term food security and strong rural communities.

Albertans favour checks and balances that keep food safe without creating unnecessary burdens. The shared goal:
Safe food, strong farms, fair rules.
