If you can’t beat Hollywood...knock it off! When Adelaide filmmaker Anthony signs on to make a dinosaur B-movie with the notorious studio behind 'Sharknado', he turns the camera on himself to document the chaos.

Don't miss the hilarious and unexpectedly tender doco MOCKBUSTER, currently on a Q&A tour across Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Catch it at FFFA venues Lido (Sat 29 August, 3pm) and the Ritz (Mon 32 August, 6.45pm) this week!

Skrrrrrrrrrrt 🛴 The winner of this year's FFFA Audience Award is Ryan Zorzut's whacky scooter-racing comedy SQUIDS!

You took to this candy-coloured cringe comedy like a razor scooter to the ankle calling it "the bizarro Australian razor scooter championships sports comedy you never knew you needed". Your five-star reviews described it as "a heap of fun from start to finish" and you felt it was "so great to see a film with so much love, passion and joy put into it!" We have to agree.

This year's runner-ups are the wild and original WOLF CAT FEVER and the box-office destroying OBSESSION (we can brag about being early adopters).

Congratulations to the passionate local filmmakers behind SQUIDS and WOLF CAT FEVER (and to Curry Barker if you ever see this - we're obsessed with OBSESSION).

FFFA 2026 is Dead. We went out with a bang (and a whole lot of blood and gore) last week at our Closing Night screenings of the new Aussie slasher PENNY LANE IS DEAD, from director Mia'Kate Russell. We were joined by Russell and cast and crew for Q&A screenings and some cheeky foyer drinks to close out another banner year for Fantastic Film Festival Australia.

FFFA presents a first look at the hugely anticipated debut from Aussie director Adrian Chiarella, LEVITICUS.

In this breakout Sundance hit, two teenage boys must escape a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire most — each other.
