Metro Cinemas Boronia has been in operation since June 2005. Since then it has been managed and run by the Schouten family with over 50 years of experience in the cinema industry. Originally the "Electra Cinema" and then converted in 1974 to a Village Twin Cinema complex. Refurbished in the late 90's to a four screen complex. With cheap tickets and candy bar items everyday, make Metro Cinemas Boronia the next spot for your local outting!

TWENTY ONE!!!😮

21 years ago today we opened our doors for the very first time!

The past 21 years have been extremely challenging and exhausting - especially during a global pandemic!

We would like to thank our landlords for being so supportive to us during the lockdowns and the years after as we rebuild.

Even through challenging moments, it is so worth it to see the smiles on people's faces who are grateful they can afford to bring their family to the cinema and buy them treats from the Candy Bar which they wouldn't be able to at the major cinemas.

We will always be a family-friendly, affordable cinema.

A HUGE thank you to every patron who chooses to come watch films with us! We wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you guys!

We have patrons now that feel like family and have created real bonds with them.

To our staff over the past 21 years, we thank you for your time with us!

To our current staff, thank you for joining our family.
You guys are literally the best!

To our suppliers, other cinema exhibitors, film distributors and the wider community, from day one until now, we are grateful for your support - you know who you are!
