We are now proud to introduce , in addition yo our traditional afternoon tea, a whole new concept:
What does it mean?
1. Bright colours to symbolize Africa: yellow, green, orange, red, brown.
2. Fynbos instead of roses.
3. Menu to celebrate the culture of our rainbow nation, for example
no macaroons; rather Cape Malay Koesisters, Hertzoggies, Skuinskoek, jam tartlets, dried fruit truffles, melktertjies, ystervarkies
4. Instead of cucumber finger sandwiches , rather biltong bites, Amagwinya, mini pancakes
5. Experience the extraordinary taste of Makatan, aloe leaf jam, prickly pear jam, gooseberry, lemon marmalade and honey from our own harvest with buttermilk scones and whipped cream.
6. Various blends of Rooibos and Honeybush tea as well as De Waal's small batch, home roasted Krietak coffee will replace Earl and Lady Grey tea.
7. And as a bonus we' ll fill the glasses with iced honeybush, " gemmerbier" or " lemoenstroop"
