The Galileo Open Air Cinema has officially been crowned Best Place to be Seen at the 2026 Kfm Best of the Cape Awards, powered by Yoco! 🎬✨

And this one means a LOT.

In a brand-new category celebrating the places and experiences Cape Town can’t stop talking about, more than 440,000 public votes were cast.

🥇 Winner: The Galileo Open Air Cinema
🥈 Second Place: Café Caprice
🥉 Third Place: First Thursdays

We were up against some of Cape Town’s most iconic places to be seen, and you voted us into the top spot. 🥹

What makes this win even more special? The Galileo is a seasonal experience.

When voting opened, we were tucked away for winter. No screens. No picnic blankets. No sunsets. No movies under the stars.

But you remembered.💜
