When you participate in the Paddle for Promise, you impact dozens of teens. Paid employment and a safe place to work where they have fun, and make friends is theirs for the summer when you raise $1,000. As Giovanni stated above, you give teens joy, purpose, and community.
That’s why we’re asking you to hit the Christina River on June 6th!
UrbanPromise Wilmington’s Executive Council member, Josh Gregor, is the Director of the StreetLeader Program. He is passionate about the relationships, discipleship, and training we offer to teens in Wilmington. His personal invitation to Paddle is above.

Launch time begins at 7:30 am
Time on the Water: Between 1.5 and 2 hours to canoe, kayak or paddle board 8 miles on the Christina River
Lunch: Provided through the generosity Chick-fil-A, ShopRite & The Kenny Family Foundation, and Wawa.
Registration Deadline: Monday, June 1, 2026 or until the canoes are full
