Effective immediately at the Grand main st Wellsville NY, all pre covid distributed generic free passes are null and void due to it has come to our attention a substantial amount we're stolen by a former employee and used to barter with other businesses. Also everyone has to realize what we have been through and the long road to recovery we have so we apologize but we cannot afford to run movies for small crowds that use these passes and spend no very needed money. And for those of you that still have legitimate ones from the radio stations, we haven't done that program since 2017 so you have had ample time to use them. Thanks to all for understanding.

i am the owner of the grand theatre and want to explain about the go fund me fundraiser. I told the village we are $75,000 behind and that was a rough estimate. the go fund me was recommended by the village to start the ball rolling for possible grants. we had to put a goal so we went with $200,000 but that was done as a new roof and other building maintenance costs will be coming in the future. we dont expect to reach that necessarily but again rounded the figure. I am in no way looking to prosper personally from any donations to help with the theatre situation other than to keep it going as attendance has been far down for 4 years now and i alone no longer can carry it on my own. i have owned it for 16 years now so i am comfortable saying i am honest and trustworthy. if the donations are taken and used i will document everything they would be used for for anyone to review. if we were to receive more than we need for the problems at hand the remainder would still be used for possible upgrades such as new seats or whatever we could do to make the place the best for the community. I hope this answers questions for all those concerned and for all of you that have donated we sincerely appreciate it and will do everything we can to keep things going. Thank you, Darren Jones
