GET READY. Our garage sale starts Friday, in the greenhouse at Blooming Gardens. Enter in the back. We hae something for everyone......Christmas, Halloween, kitchen items, books, movies, baskets, patio, clothes. Come visit us and get a good deal. Priced to sell. all proceeds go to the garden club for upkeep of our projects.

Garden Club meeting: Sept. 9 at 6:30 at Blooming Gardens. Interested? come join us. We are preparing for a garage sale during the 36 Highway sales. All proceeds are used for the upkeep of Memorial Gardens and the flower urns downtown.
A big thank you, by the way, for the upkeep of those urns this season. They look great!

The Wathena Garden Club will have a meeting Aug. 15 at 6:30 at Blooming Gardens. You can be a part of this community activity by showing up. No membership fees! A club organized to make the city more attractive with flowers.

The garden is now decorated and shining bright. Drive by and have a look. Thanks to Judy Hoffman who provides us with all the necessary lights and decorations plus helps put it up. Remember Santa Claus is coming to town on Sunday and there will be cookies!

The Garden club has a meeting tonight to make plans for our "famous" beef burger stand at the fall festival. All are welcome to come to Blooming Gardens for a 6:30 meeting. New ideas are always welcome.

The garden club will be having a meeting on May 12th at Blooming Gardens at 6:30. You are invited to come see what we are doing in the community and offer any suggestions you might have for future projects.

Reminder that today is soup/chili luncheon at the Community Center. Come for some great homemade soup or chili and PIE. 11:30 to 1:30. Another day you don't have to cook for yourself.

A big thank you to Blooming "Gardens for their donations around town. Mums were donated to the churches and also planted around City Hall. Take a peek next time you drive by because they just "pop".
